Black Community Crusade for Children® Programs

Coordinated nationally by CDF, the BCCC® programs seek to:

  • deepen community support for the healthy development of Black children
  • strengthen the Black community tradition of self-help
  • rebuild bridges between generations and between the Black middle class and poor
  • assist and galvanize Black leadership around specific goals for children
  • identify, train, nurture, link, and empower effective Black servant-leaders younger than 30

BCCC Student Leadership Network for Children® (SLNC) conducts the Ella Baker Child Policy Training Institute and sends trained college students to work as teachers, counselors, and role models for disadvantaged children in summer CDF Freedom Schools™ programs across the country.
