However throughout the United States , the needs of many children are not being met during these most vulnerable years. These state fact sheets are a guide to the current structure of early childhood care throughout the country. It is our hope that these facts sheets will serve to illuminate the need for all states to guarantee that each child receives high quality, comprehensive child care and early education.
